Background
In 1988 I moved from my home town of Southport to Scotland to read Music at the RSAMD in Glasgow, graduating with Honours in 1992.
I juggled music performance with work in a bookshop during the early nineties, and in 1996, enticed by the explosion of the web, I became involved in setting up the chain's online presence.
In 1997 I embarked upon a Computer Science degree with the OU, graduating with First Class Honours in 2001. By this time I had gained considerable experience of databases and e-commerce application development, and was working as a software engineer with Foremost IT in Glasgow.
I have been doing freelance software development and consultancy since setting up my own business in December 2003.
